Is an old-school fruit machine less risky?
Short answer: not necessarily. The old arcade look of cherries, lemons, BARs and red sevens is about the graphics, not the maths. Risk shows in the studio's published numbers, not the artwork.

Cherries, BARs, sevens: how to spot the old school
A classic slot is a style, not an official category: it recalls old mechanical machines with few symbols, familiar pictures and a simple winning rule.

Fruit Shop Frenzy (23 August 2023) carries on the fruit tradition: wilds appear only on reels 2–4, and a fruit win gives 2 free spins with a multiplier trail from ×1 to ×5. The game also has a bonus buy at 20× the bet.
Good Old 7's (28 February 2024) is decorated with sevens, yet it pays on 243 ways rather than fixed lines. Wilds again sit on reels 2–4, alongside Twin Reel and a Bonus Wheel worth 2× to 100×, with its own gamble option.
777 Strike (15 April 2021) is the oldest: 3 scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5 award 7 free spins, followed by Win Spins and Wild Spins stages, up to 21 free spins in total. There is no buy.
According to the lobby, all three appear to be available in demo mode too, so confirm before launching.

Red or black after a win: what the gamble button puts at risk
The gamble feature (often called double-up) is a legacy of old machines. After a win it offers a deal: guess the colour of a card and the win doubles; guess wrong and it is gone. On colour the odds are fifty-fifty, so the button does not improve your position; it only widens the swings.
The danger is the pace: one click and a small win is gone. If you use gamble, decide in advance how many steps you will go (and stick to it).
With a bonus, one more rule applies. Under point 2.7 of Dukat.bet's official general bonus rules, the default maximum bet during wagering is 5 EUR unless the offer states otherwise, and this covers gamble as well as a bought bonus round.

A double-up chain and a buy cap on a made-up evening
Practice exercise with made-up numbers – not Dukat.bet data:
Petra spins a classic machine at 0.50 EUR a spin and wins 2 EUR. She gambles on colour three times in a row. How much is the win if she is right all three times, and how likely is that? With an active bonus, at which step would she go over the 5 EUR cap?
Solution. 2 → 4 → 8 → 16 EUR. The chance of three correct guesses is ½ × ½ × ½ = 1/8, or 12.5%. In the remaining 87.5% the 2 EUR is lost. At step one 2 EUR is at stake, at step two 4 EUR, and at step three already 8 EUR, which is above the default 5 EUR cap.
Second question: the Fruit Shop Frenzy buy costs 20× the bet. What is the highest base bet that keeps it within 5 EUR? Solution. 5 ÷ 20 = 0.25 EUR. We have not checked Dukat.bet's own bet limits, so always look at the bet steps shown in the game.
Four lines for your notebook before you spin for sevens
- Volatility on the studio's scale: High, Medium or something else; do not guess it from the fruit.
- Lines or ways: 10 lines, 15 lines or 243 ways? This decides how you read the paytable.
- Gamble limit: how many steps you will go, and whether you stay under the 5 EUR cap with a bonus.
- RTP from the info panel: write down the value you see there, not the one from the studio's site.
