Why start with a question instead of a list of rules?
Someone who opens a casino lobby on day one is rarely after definitions. They want to know something very concrete: ‘forty spins and only small change so far – so the bonus round must be close now, right?’ or ‘what does that 96% in the corner actually mean?’. We collected sentences like these, and each one became a lesson.
Our answers never stop at ‘just trust us’. Every lesson ends with a method you can use to look at the same thing yourself: the game’s info panel, the paytable, a numbered point of the official rules or your own notes. If a claim of ours cannot be verified, we do not present it as fact.
This is slower than reading an advert. In return, you do not walk away with an opinion but with a habit: look it up first, decide afterwards.
Sixteen beginner questions and the lessons that answer them
The left-hand column of the table holds sentences that beginners really do ask – often worded exactly like this, a little clumsily. Find the one closest to yours, and the right-hand column gives you the lesson. You can reach every lesson from the menu, under its group.
| If you are asking… | Difficulty | Read this |
|---|---|---|
| What am I looking at in the lobby, and what is a label worth? | easy | The online casino at first glance |
| What decides the outcome of a spin? | easy | Slot machines: what happens during a spin |
| Does it work on a phone, or do I need an app? | easy | The casino on your phone, no download |
| Where can I see how much a symbol pays? | easy | Reading the paytable |
| Can I try it without money, and what is the point? | easy | Demo play |
| How is a fruit machine different from a modern slot? | easy | Classic slots |
| Why is the zero green on the roulette wheel? | easy | Roulette basics |
| How much should I set aside for an evening, and how do I know when to stop? | easy | Planning your gaming budget |
| What does 96% RTP mean for my own money? | intermediate | RTP and house edge |
| What do free spins, multipliers and bonus buys do? | intermediate | Bonus rounds |
| Where do the 117,649 ways to win on a Megaways slot come from? | intermediate | Megaways slots |
| Is a real person dealing the cards at the live table? | intermediate | Live dealer games |
| Why does a machine that ‘can pay big’ pay so rarely? | advanced | Volatility and hit rate |
| When should I cash out of a crash round? | advanced | Crash games |
| What do wagering, maximum bet and validity mean? | advanced | Bonus terms |
| After ten reds, is black really due next? | advanced | The gambler’s fallacy |
Is your question missing from the list? No problem. Pick the row about the same game or term, and the end of that lesson will point you further.
Easy, intermediate, advanced: a sensible reading order
Above every lesson you will see its group name and a difficulty label. Easy lessons assume no prior knowledge at all: a lobby, a reel, a wheel, and what the buttons do. The intermediate level already works with numbers – percentages, multipliers, ways to win. Advanced lessons cover topics where common sense easily leads you astray, so there is more arithmetic there.
A suggested route if you are starting from zero:
- Begin with how an online casino is laid out, so you know where to find things.
- Before you play anything, read how to plan a gaming budget for both money and time.
- Then move on to the key intermediate lesson: what RTP and house edge mean.
- For the advanced part, we recommend starting with myths: the gambler’s fallacy prevents a lot of bad decisions later on.
There is no need to read everything at once. One lesson per evening is plenty – and if a part is unclear, go back to an easier one rather than skipping ahead.
Five stops in every lesson, from the question to your notebook
So you do not have to work out where you are on every page, the lessons share the same skeleton:
- The beginner’s question. The first subheading is the question itself, followed straight away by a short, honest answer – even when it is not the one you hoped for.
- Myth table. Three columns: what many people believe, what is actually true, and where you can check it.
- Explanation. This is where we unpack the mechanics: reel, stake, multiplier, rule point.
- Practice exercise. With made-up numbers and a worked solution, so you can follow the calculation through yourself.
- A note to yourself. A few lines worth writing down before you start a game, plus a suggestion for the next lesson.
The numbers in the exercises are invented on purpose. That way they never get mixed up with real game data, and nobody can read them as an offer.
Where do the numbers in the lessons come from?
We take a game’s RTP, volatility or maximum win only from the developer studio’s official website, and we always use the studio’s own scale. Which RTP version of a given game Dukat.bet runs is not public, so we leave it out and send you to the info panel instead. Statements about Dukat.bet were recorded from the public lobby and the official rules, as they stood on 11 October 2026.
On 11 October 2026, Dukat.bet’s lobby had no games from Big Time Gaming, Quickspin or E-Gaming, so our examples come from other studios.
If we lack an answer, we say it openly. We do not give game counts, payout times or licence details, because we have not verified them – if you need that kind of information, check Dukat.bet’s site itself and your account.
No strategies, sure-fire systems or tips here
Best to be clear about this up front, so you are not disappointed later. No lesson tells you which machine is ‘worth’ starting today, when the bonus round is ‘due’, or how a betting system can beat the house edge. No such method exists, and anyone selling one is looking after their interests, not yours.
What you will learn instead: how to read a game’s rules, what a number means, and when your own gut feeling misleads you. This textbook does not promise winnings. It promises that you will understand better what you are spending your money on.
Basic blackjack strategy is the one exception we write about – and even there only as a way to reduce the house edge, not as a recipe for winning.
One offer in the banner, and the rule behind it
The Dukat.bet slot offer you also see in the banner: Slots Bonus – 500% up to 3,000 EUR + 15% Cashback. The button at the top and bottom of the page points to it, and the lessons deal with it wherever the way slots work comes up.
As a beginner, one thing is worth remembering right now. While you are wagering a bonus, the stake on a single spin can be no more than 5 EUR unless the offer says otherwise; that is point 2.7 of the official general rules, and it also applies to the gamble button and to a purchased bonus round. The remaining points (validity, game contribution, excluded slots) are covered one by one in the Bonus terms lesson.
We found no separate description of the 15% Cashback details – conditions beyond the percentage, the period – on the Dukat.bet bonus page. So we will not say more about it either; look there before you activate it.
Over eighteen, with your own budget, at your own pace
These lessons, like Dukat.bet itself, are meant for adults only: under 18 you cannot play for money, and this textbook was not written for you. If you do play, treat it as paid entertainment – the budget comes before the stake, and once it is spent, the evening is over.
If you notice an evening running longer or costing more than you planned, see where you can get help where you live – from a doctor, a specialist clinic or a self-help group. In an emergency, call 112.
