What does ‘pending’ next to my withdrawal mean?
Your request has arrived but is not finished yet. The money is no longer playable balance, yet it has not been sent to you either: the operator checks it first, then passes it on.
This in itself is neither an error nor a bad sign. How long this status may last at a given casino is set out in the cashier section or the payment rules – do not go by estimates from forums.
Most words below are similar: bureaucratic at first sight, but easy to explain in a sentence.
Login and identification: eight words at the account gate
| Term | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Identity document | A photo of your ID card or passport | Both sides, with readable corners |
| KYC | ‘Know your customer’: checking who you are | Usually before the first withdrawal at the latest |
| One-account rule | One person may open one account | Opening a second one can get your account closed |
| Password | The secret key for logging in | Do not reuse the one from your email |
| Proof of address | A recent document showing your address | A utility bill or bank statement |
| Registration | Creating the account with basic details (name, date of birth, email) | Only possible over 18 |
| Source of funds check | A question, for larger amounts, about where the money comes from | A payslip or statement |
| Two-step verification (2FA) | At login you enter a one-time code as well as your password | Protects you even if someone logs in from another device |
KYC is not distrust of you personally. Anti-money-laundering rules make it mandatory, and the age check depends on it too.
Money moving on your balance: from deposit to your bank
| Term | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Balance | The amount you can play with in your account | Shown at the top of the cashier |
| Deposit | Moving money into the account | By card, bank transfer or another method |
| Minimum deposit | The smallest amount accepted | Listed in the cashier next to the method |
| Pending withdrawal | A request received but still being checked | It cannot be played meanwhile |
| Processing time | The time taken to check and send the payment | Set out in the rules, may differ by method |
| Real and bonus balance | Your own money and conditional bonus money, kept apart | The bonus side is covered in bonus terms |
| Transaction history | A list of all deposits and withdrawals | Here you can track how much you paid in during a month |
| Withdrawal | Money sent back from the account to you | Often to the same method you deposited with |
| Withdrawal reversal | Pulling a pending request back into the balance | Risky: the money becomes playable again |
The transaction history row is underrated. Anyone who checks it once a month gets fewer surprises.
Limits, breaks, exclusion: the names of the brake pedals
| Term | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | A ceiling for a day, a week or a month | Blocks deposits above 30 EUR a week |
| Loss limit | How much you can lose in a period | Once reached, you cannot place a new stake |
| Reality check | A pop-up reminder of time spent and results | ‘You have been playing for 45 minutes’ |
| Self-exclusion | A longer block that cannot be lifted early | For months or permanently |
| Session time limit | How long one login may last | The system logs you out after an hour |
| Stake limit | The highest stake allowed per round | A ceiling you set for yourself |
| Time-out | A short, temporary lock | 24 hours or a week |
Tightening usually applies at once, while loosening comes with a waiting period – so you do not decide on impulse. If the thought of self-exclusion crosses your mind at all, go through the self-check questions.
Three account misunderstandings in brief
| What many people believe | What is actually true | How to check it |
|---|---|---|
| KYC is only needed after a big win | It usually comes up before any withdrawal | The identification clause in the payment or general terms |
| A pending withdrawal can get lost | It is being checked, not gone | Transaction history: the request status is there |
| I can raise my limit again instantly at any time | Loosening usually takes effect with a delay | The responsible gaming settings in your account |
What happens to your balance if you reverse a withdrawal?
Practice exercise with made-up numbers – not Dukat.bet data:
You deposited 50 EUR and by the end of an evening your balance is 80 EUR. You request a 60 EUR withdrawal, so 20 EUR stays on the balance and the 60 EUR is ‘pending’. The next day you play away the 20 EUR and then reverse the pending request.
Question: what is your balance now, and what is the risk?
Solution: 0 + 60 = 60 EUR. Money you would already have taken out can go back on the table. Had the withdrawal gone through, you would have got 60 EUR back from a 50 EUR deposit – 10 EUR up. If you lose the reversed 60 EUR as well, you end 50 EUR down.
That is why many experienced players follow a simple rule: a withdrawal, once sent, stays sent.
Three things to find in your own cashier
- Where you see pending requests, and whether a withdrawal can be reversed.
- Which menu holds the deposit limit and the time-out, and how many days you must wait to loosen them.
- Which documents KYC asks for, and where you upload them.
Note these down before your first deposit. For the wider frame, read our responsible gaming basics, and working out a concrete amount continues in the lesson on planning your budget.
